Being a pediatrician is more than just my job; it is what I love to do. After finishing my training at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham I began my practice as a hospitalist (and a new mother)—then became the Director of Pediatric Outpatient Services and the Newborn Nursery at the Children’s Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and a teacher at Mercer Medical School. I do believe that raising my children taught me as much about practicing pediatrics as I ever learned in school! After 17 years in Academic Medicine, I joined a private practice in Warner Robins, where I enjoyed a calmer pace and the opportunity to enjoy my youngest child’s last years at home without constantly being on call. I knew, though, that as soon as he graduated from high school I wanted to move back home, so I began looking for a practice in Alabama that I felt would be a good fit.

I was so happy to meet Chase and the staff at Pediatrics Plus! I knew instantly that this practice was the one for me. Their commitment to excellent care and the happy and caring environment felt like a perfect fit. The staff is wonderful and the patients are great! I have enjoyed every day that I have been here.

Now that my children are “grown” –or at least out of the nest --I am especially enjoying all the patients that I see every day. My special interests are organic foods, diet, holistic medicine, and behavioral medicine and how they are related. I believe that partnering with the parents is the best way to care for the child, and I truly enjoy getting to know each child and their family.
